Rotary donates generously to local groups "They would be often sitting with their feet in mud. Foul balls would often come their way. There was no protection," league representative Ernie Ricco said at a luncheon on Thursday Nov. 30 the D'Ignazio's Towne House in Media. With the money, the league completed a number of projects, including resurfacing the field, refencing what had been a 30-year-old backstop, adding a snack bar and restroom at the field located at Springton Lake Middle School on 1900 N. Providence Rd. in Media. Those young sluggers weren't the only ones to receive some help from the Rotary Club of Media, which celebrated the 75th anniversary of the organization, as well as the 100th anniversary of Rotary International, by doling out donations.
